Thursday Night Football in Niagara: Four Bills Tickets Up for Grabs

Football takes over a hockey rink this week. The Niagara IceDogs host the Brampton Steelheads on Thursday, November 5 at 7 PM at the Meridian Centre, and the game doubles as the first-ever Thursday Night Football in Niagara — presented by Canadian Tire in support of Jumpstart, the charity that knocks down the barriers keeping kids out of sports.

The headline prize is a Niagara-sized one: fans in the building can enter to win four tickets to see the Buffalo Bills take on the Kansas City Chiefs on American Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, at Highmark Stadium. The catch — you have to be at the Meridian Centre on Thursday night to claim them.

That's not all on the table. Canadian Tire has donated a Blackstone grill to be won, and there are four Forge FC home-game tickets and two Hamilton Tiger-Cats home-game tickets up for grabs too. Specialty IceDogs jerseys will be auctioned off in support of Jumpstart, visiting mascots take over the building for Mascot Mania, and Toronto Argonauts defensive tackle Ralph Holley joins members of Jumpstart for the ceremonial puck drop. Fans in the building will also pick up free custom hockey cards, courtesy of Skycomp Solutions — their first game of the season with the IceDogs.

On the ice, it's round two: the IceDogs beat the Steelheads 4–1 in the home opener on September 19. Off the ice, Infamous Jay Moore will be on the concourse selling 50/50 tickets for Crime Stoppers of Niagara — a packed building makes a big jackpot.

In the newest episode of The Infamous Take, Jay breaks down why this is the biggest theme night of the young season.
